Sundowners is committed to ensuring a safe environment and protecting the health and wellness of all children and staff while supporting the needs of the families we serve. The above link will take you to our current Sundowners Daycare & Resource Centre – Pandemic Plan – COVID 19. This plan is a working document that is regularly review and updated with guidance from the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit and local school boards in which we operate. As updates/changes occur clients will be notified of any changes via email.

• All children in grades 1 through 8 are required to wear cloth masks while in attendance at childcare. Preschool and kindergarten children are not required to wear masks, however are encouraged to wear cloth masks while at child care.
• Children are to be screened at home prior to attending childcare. https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/
• If you or child is ill, and do not pass screening, remain at home and follow the next steps as outlined in the school screening application. Contact your site supervisor to notify them of the failed screening to discuss next steps.
• Parents are still asked to refrain from entering the building and to wait for a Sundowners employee to screen and escort their child(ren) to their respective classrooms.
