Based on advice from Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health and experts at the COVID-19 Command Table, the Minister of Education has issued an order to close all publicly funded schools in Ontario for two weeks following the March break, in response to the emergence of COVID-19.

This means that all schools in both the Greater Essex County District School Board and the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board have been ordered to remain closed from March 14 through to April 5, 2020.

Both school boards have advised that child care centres operating within those schools will NOT operate during the closure.  This also means that March Break programs have been cancelled.

As a result, all Sundowners locations including Sundowners Administration Office will be closed from March 14 to April 5.  Phone calls and emails to the general email address will not be answered until after the closures. 

We encourage all parents and staff to listen to local media outlets for up to date information on school closures.
