- Make your own comic strip. Write your own story and draw the characters to go with it.
- Draw and design your own car for the future like the ones at the Auto Show.
- Make a birthday card or giant poster to hang for someone close to you having a birthday.
- Draw a self-portrait by sitting in front of a mirror and drawing what you see.
- Make a nameplate for you bedroom door by cutting out the letters for your name from magazines (or you can draw them yourself). Glue pictures around your name plate to decorate it.
- Make a picture mosaic out of rocks / pebbles/sea shells/seeds. You can also make a mosaic picture out of construction paper cut out into little squares.
- Make a bird feeder with a pinecone, peanut butter and bird feed. Take your pine cone and spread peanut butter over it, sprinkle bird seed over the cone. Then tie a string to the cone, and hang in a tree in front of your window to watch the birds that come.
- With Fabric string (can get at the dollar store) braid your hair. The string can be braided into your hair for a colourful braid.
- If you have fabric paint you can design your own T-Shirt or shoes.
- If you like the radio, design your own radio show. Decide what kind of music you would play, what your DJ name would be, and what kinds of things you would talk about on your show.
- Make your own button out of a favourite picture and glue it to a cardboard circle.
- Draw a cartoon picture that will make someone laugh.
- Try drawing pictures with your feet instead of your hand.
- Sew your own apron out of old fabric. You can also sew your own hair ties out of scraps of old fabric.
- Make an ice crystal picture. Colour onto a dark piece of construction paper with crayons, pressing heavily. Mix together equal parts of salt and water, maybe add more salt if mixture is too runny. Paint over the picture with the mixture. You will create a crystallized scene.
