Paper Plate Portraits
You need:
- Popsicle Stick
- Paper Plate
- Scissors
- Glue
- Old Magazines or Catalogues
- Crayons/Markers
- Construction Paper
- Yarn/Felt
What to do:
With old pictures and craft objects create a portrait of yourself on the plate. Cut out pictures of eyes and a nose to make your portrait. If you don’t have pictures to use, you can draw them on. Attach the handle by gluing the stick to the “neck” or bottom of the plate. To help the handle lie flat, cut a tab in the plate that is the same width as the stick. Then glue the handle to the tab and the back of the mask. Or for a twist! Cut the paper plate or cereal box into a shape to decorate, such as a space ship, train, car, animal or person.
